Trade show «Pharmedi & Healthcare Vietnam 2026» (pharma, rehabilitation, elderly care)

About the event

One walk down the aisles covers almost the entire supply chain of a working clinic — medicines and consumables, diagnostic systems, hospital IT, rehabilitation equipment. Vietnam's largest medical trade show returns to the Phu My Hung area south of central Ho Chi Minh City, and if you work in pharma, distribution or hospital procurement, this is the one to block out.

The organiser expects more than 600 booths from over 20 countries and territories across 12,000 sqm, plus over 12,000 trade visitors. The official 2025 post-show report sets the baseline: 550 exhibitors, 9,425 visitors, 24 countries, 88% of exhibitors satisfied with the outcome and 87% planning to return.

On the floor: pharmaceuticals and biotech, medical devices and supplies, diagnostics and laboratory equipment, imaging, digital health and smart-hospital systems, rehabilitation, home care and elderly care. Last year's visitors came first for medical devices and supplies (25.5%), then pharmaceuticals and vaccines (11.8%) and diagnostics (9.3%).

Pharmedi anchors a three-show medical cluster. Two co-located specialty exhibitions run alongside it: ELDERCARE EXPO, on products and technologies for elderly care, and RAVEX, on rehabilitation technology and assistive solutions for people with disabilities. The main show occupies Exhibition Hall A and both satellites sit in Hall B1, so one trip covers all three.

The show is 21 years old, one of the longest-running industry platforms in the country, and runs with backing from the Ministry of Health (Bộ Y tế) and the sector's main bodies: the Vietnam Pharmaceutical Companies Association (VNPCA), the Ho Chi Minh City Medical Equipment Association (HMEA) and the Vietnam Private Hospital Association (VPHA). It is organised by Informa Markets, one of the world's largest B2B exhibition operators.

The sector numbers explain the pull. Vietnam's total healthcare spending rose from $17.4 billion in 2019 to $27.5 billion in 2025 and is forecast to reach $34.1 billion by 2028. The National Target Program on Healthcare, Population and Development for 2026–2035, approved by the National Assembly, commits more than VND 88.6 trillion. Pharmaceutical imports came to roughly $4.3 billion in 2025, down 2.4% year on year according to the Customs Department, with the United States the largest supplier at about 12%.

The business programme goes well beyond the stands. There is pre-arranged one-to-one B2B Matching, a Hosted Buyer Program for senior decision-makers, and group visits from hospitals and clinics; exhibitors also get LeadGrab, a lead-capture app introduced this year that logs visitor details right at the booth. Running alongside are an industry conference series and a professional training programme with VNPCA for doctors and pharmacists, on hospital digitisation, AI in healthcare, next-generation devices and pharmaceutical trends.

Admission is free but strictly trade: you need to pre-register or present a business card at the door, and neither the general public nor anyone under 16 is admitted. A dress code is stated too — shorts and slippers will not get you into the halls. Pre-registrants are promised fast-track entry and a printed show directory. Visitor questions go to [email protected].

If you are sourcing suppliers, hunting for a distributor, or simply want to read where Vietnamese healthcare is heading, walking the aisles will tell you more than a month of email.
