Terms of Use

1. General

1.1. the CityGuide.vn site administration (the "Administration") offers Internet users (the "User") the use of CityGuide — an online guide to events and places in Vietnamese cities, available at cityguide.vn and all its subdomains (the "Site").

1.2. These Terms constitute a public offer. By starting to use the Site — including viewing any of its pages — the User accepts these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please stop using the Site.

1.3. The Site is free for Users. The Administration grants the User a simple non-exclusive right to use the Site within its functionality for personal, non-commercial purposes.

1.4. Use of the Site is also governed by the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy, the User-Generated Content Policy and the Consent to Personal Data Processing, which form an integral part of these Terms.

1.5. The Administration may amend these Terms. The new version takes effect upon publication on the Site with its date indicated. By continuing to use the Site after changes are published, the User accepts them.

2. Nature of Event Information. Important Disclaimers

2.1. CityGuide is an information service. The Administration is not an event organiser, ticket seller or venue owner and does not provide event services.

2.2. Event information (dates, times, venues, prices, programmes, age restrictions) is published on the basis of organisers' announcements and open sources. Organisers may change or cancel events without notice. The Administration strives to keep information up to date but does not warrant its accuracy, completeness or currency at any given moment. Verify details with the organiser before attending an event or buying a ticket.

2.3. Links to organisers' websites, ticketing services and other external resources are provided for convenience. Tickets and services are purchased outside the Site on the terms of the relevant third parties; the Administration is not a party to such transactions and bears no responsibility for them.

2.4. Publication of information about an event or place does not constitute a recommendation or quality guarantee by the Administration unless expressly stated otherwise.

3. Information Sources. Rights of Organisers and Rights Holders

3.1. Information about events, places and organisers (names, descriptions, schedules, addresses, posters, public contact details) is collected from open sources: official websites, public social media pages, and announcements by organisers and users.

3.2. Event posters and other event materials belong to their rights holders and are used on the Site for information purposes — to announce the relevant events, with source attribution where applicable.

3.3. If you are an organiser, venue owner or rights holder and wish to have information or materials relating to you corrected, supplemented or removed, send a request to [email protected] stating: the link to the Site page, the substance of your request, and details confirming your connection to the event, place or material. Requests are normally handled within 5 business days. We value data accuracy and cooperation with organisers.

4. User Content

4.1. The User may submit information to the Site via the "Add a place/event" form, and other content where such features are available (reviews, comments, photos).

4.2. By submitting content, the User confirms holding the necessary rights to it and grants the Administration a free simple (non-exclusive) licence to use it on the Site and in Site materials (including the project's social media accounts) for the duration of the exclusive rights, including the right of technical adaptation (resizing, reformatting, editing text without distorting its meaning).

4.3. Submitted content is published after moderation. The Administration may decline to publish or may remove content without stating reasons. Detailed rules are set out in the User-Generated Content Policy.

4.4. Individual Site programs (e.g. rewards for submitted events) may have additional terms published on the relevant Site pages. In case of conflict, such terms prevail with respect to the program.

5. Obligations and Restrictions

When using the Site it is prohibited to:

• post unlawful, misleading, defamatory or offensive content, or content infringing third-party rights;
• impersonate another person, an organiser or a representative of the Administration;
• collect other users' personal data without lawful grounds;
• carry out mass automated copying of the Site's materials and database, or reproduce substantial parts of the Site's database for commercial purposes without the Administration's written permission;
• interfere with the normal operation of the Site or distribute malicious code;
• post unauthorised advertising or spam.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1. The Site's texts, design, software code, logo and database are subject to the rights of the Administration and other rights holders. Original event materials belong to their organisers and rights holders.

6.2. Quoting the Site's materials and posting links to them is permitted with source attribution (an active link to cityguide.vn). Mass copying, reproduction of Site sections and commercial use of materials without permission are prohibited.

7. Accounts

7.1. Certain Site features may require registration. The User must provide accurate details, keep access credentials confidential and promptly report unauthorised access. Actions performed under the User's account are deemed the User's actions.

7.2. The Administration may restrict or block access to an account in the event of a breach of these Terms or the law.

8. No Warranties; Limitation of Liability

8.1. The Site is provided "as is". The Administration does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Site, its conformity to the User's expectations, or the accuracy of any published information (see Section 2).

8.2. To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Administration is not liable for losses arising from the use of or inability to use the Site, from attending or cancellation of events, or from the actions of organisers and other third parties. This clause does not limit rights that cannot be limited by law.

9. Communications

The Administration may send Users service notifications related to their enquiries and Site features. Newsletters (event digests) are sent only with the User's consent and can be unsubscribed from at any time via the link in the email or via [email protected].

10. Final Provisions

10.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Disputes shall be resolved through negotiation and, failing agreement, in the competent court of Vietnam.

10.2. The invalidity of any individual provision does not invalidate these Terms as a whole.
