Exhibition «VietnamPlas 2026»

   Injection moulding machines, extruders, moulds and recycling lines are hard to judge from a PDF. In Ho Chi Minh City they line up under one roof: more than 500 companies from 16 countries and territories, from Zhejiang and Taiwanese machine builders to Germany's ARBURG. One walk of the halls replaces months of supplier emails.

   This is the 24th edition of VietnamPlas, a trade show the organisers have run in Vietnam for over two decades. The floor splits into two streams, plastics and rubber, across halls A and B of the SECC in the Phú Mỹ Hưng area in the south of the city. The official list already carries 512 companies and keeps growing: the largest delegations come from China (367 stands), Vietnam (51), Taiwan (38) and India (26), alongside exhibitors from South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Japan, Germany, Italy, the UAE, the United States, Australia and Indonesia.

   The sections cover the whole production chain:

• — plastics and rubber processing machinery — injection moulding machines, extruders, blow moulding and film lines;
• — chemicals and raw materials: polymers, resins, masterbatches, pigments, additives;
• — moulds and tooling for PET preforms, caps and blown products;
• — auxiliary equipment — granulators, mixers, chillers, conveyors, robot systems;
• — heating and control equipment, sensors, hot runner systems;
• — hydraulics and pneumatics: compressors, pumps, cylinders, air receivers;
• — recycling — washing and drying lines, melt filters, repelletising technology.

   The show is built for process engineers, procurement teams and plant owners across packaging, construction plastics, automotive parts, medical devices, household goods, footwear and textiles, with waste recyclers as a category of their own. People come to see a machine actually running, get a real quote and lead time, and find a distributor or spare parts closer to their own factory. The exhibitor list and product catalogue with booth numbers go online before the doors open, so you can plan a route stand by stand. Names on the list include ARBURG — the German family firm that has been building injection moulding machines since 1923 — plus YIZUMI, Polystar, Hwa Chin and JWELL Machinery; a year earlier ENGEL also exhibited here.

   For scale: the 2024 edition drew 700 exhibitors from 20 countries, 1,100 booths across 23,000 sqm and 20,390 visitors, while the 23rd edition last year brought 650 exhibitors and 21,401 visitors from 21 countries and territories.

   The market behind that turnout, in the Vietnam Plastics Association's own figures: the sector reached $34.3 billion in 2025, plastics exports approached $10 billion, and $7.5 billion of that came from finished plastic goods — up almost 14% year on year. Vietnamese products now reach more than 190 countries and territories, yet the industry still leans heavily on imported polymers, which the VPA calls its main vulnerability.

   The organisers add their own read: Vietnam's plastics output reached nearly 11 million tonnes in 2024 and keeps growing at roughly 8% a year on packaging, construction, auto parts and electronics demand. Vietnam is also the world's third-largest natural rubber producer, while EVFTA and CPTPP tariff terms strengthen local exporters. The Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) scheme is pushing recycling and green packaging technology up the agenda, which is why that section keeps expanding. Around 2,000 plastics businesses operate nationwide, most of them clustered around Ho Chi Minh City.

   The venue is the city's largest exhibition complex: four indoor halls (A1, A2, B1, B2) totalling about 44,000 sqm, plus a conference centre and underground parking. Organisers are Vinexad and Yorkers Trade & Marketing Service, with the Vietnam Plastics Association (VPA) as co-organiser and Taiwan's Chan Chao International managing the floor. Support comes from the Vietnam Rubber Association (VRA), the Ho Chi Minh City rubber and plastics manufacturers association RUPA, the mechanical industry association VAMI and the recycling association VWRA.

   This is a strictly trade event and the venue rules say so: visitors under 16 are not admitted, dress is expected to be neat — flip-flops and beach sandals will not get you through the door — and pets stay outside. It is standard safety practice around working machinery. One detail the schedule does not show: on the final day the halls close two hours early, at 15:00, so leave 12 September for short follow-up meetings rather than a first pass.

   Groups of 15 or more from companies, factories, associations or schools can request a free shuttle bus to the SECC, though seats are limited and must be booked ahead.
