Business Events1 / 2Bát Tràng ceramics, Hạ Thái lacquer, Phú Vinh rattan and bamboo, embroidery, fine woodwork: hundreds of craft booths gather in one place in Hanoi. If you are looking for a gift that is unmistakably Vietnamese, few places give you this much choice in a single visit.
The Hanoi International Gift and Handicraft Fair (Hanoi Giftshow) reaches its 16th edition this year. According to the Hanoi Center for Industrial and Trade Promotion (Trung tâm Khuyến công và Xúc tiến thương mại Hà Nội), the fair is expected to host 500–600 booths from Vietnamese and international companies and workshops, and aims to welcome 10,000–12,000 visitors and buyers.
The fair is laid out in several zones:
In the demonstration area, Hanoi artisans show some of the city's signature crafts right in front of visitors, so you get a closer look at how the pieces are made. The organisers also highlight horn ware inlaid with mother-of-pearl, which brings together the horn craft of Thụy Ứng and the pearl inlay of Chuôn Ngọ, and Vietnamese silk áo dài.
The fair suits anyone hunting for gifts or home decor, travellers who want to take home a genuine piece of Vietnamese craft, and importers and distributors looking for suppliers: here you can talk directly to workshop owners and village artisans.
Hanoi Giftshow is held every October. Over 15 years it has hosted nearly 6,000 booths from more than 2,400 exhibitors from across Vietnam and over 30 countries and territories. In 2025 the fair had 450 booths and almost 200 exhibitors, including companies from Japan, India and Nepal, and drew nearly 15,000 visitors, over 3,000 of them foreign importers and international residents and students in Hanoi.
The event is directed by the Hanoi People's Committee, led by the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade (Sở Công Thương Hà Nội) and run by the Hanoi Center for Industrial and Trade Promotion. For businesses the focus is on trade: negotiations, signing memoranda and contracts, online matchmaking with overseas importers, a supply-and-demand conference on raw materials for the handicraft sector between Hanoi and other provinces, and guidance on selling through e-commerce platforms. Hanoi's rural craft producers and People's and Meritorious Artisans get 100% of their booth rent covered.
The entrance is on Đỗ Đức Dục street, with parking areas on both sides of the gate. Visitors can pre-register on the fair's website.

An afternoon at Hanoi Giftshow is a quick tour of Hanoi's craft villages, and a good way to leave with a gift that has its own story.
