Club night «Ellas Mueven 005»

   The night is built from the songs you grew up on: the organisers promise music from childhood and teenage years, and open their announcement with a wink at Britney Spears. The fifth edition of this Saigon DJ platform carries the subtitle One More Time — pop nostalgia, exactly as the name suggests.

   Ellas Mueven is a platform set up to support and amplify women DJs and local talent across the electronic scene of Vietnam and Asia. Its editions keep moving: June was held at this same Le Café des Stagiaires in Thảo Điền, August took the series to Úm Ba La, and a week after this night the platform plays a joint session at Luu Bar. Three names behind the decks this time:

• — Erika Perales, Spain — a DJ based in Vietnam and a regular on Saigon line-ups;
• — Maham, Pakistan;
• — Tommy Sarng, Vietnam — this summer, on both Saigon dancefloors and the Hanoi scene.

   This one is for people who dance to what they already know by heart: pop hits, house and whatever moves a floor without explanation. The organisers make a point of saying their events are open to everyone and meant to feel safe and welcoming. If you would rather hear what you have already lived through than what is brand new, you are the audience here.
