Club night «Roadtrip to Ciné #19: Wukong»

   Asia's electronic scene does not bring names of this calibre to Ho Chi Minh City very often: the headliner behind the decks in a converted cinema in the middle of town is a DJ that DJ Mag has placed in the world's top 100. If you pick your nights by the line-up rather than by the sign above the door, this is your room.

   Wukong is one of Asia's most visible EDM exports. He entered the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll in 2024 as a new name at number 87. The promoters point out that he followed Steve Aoki and Peggy Gou as the next Asian artist to play Tomorrowland Ibiza two years running, and that he has taken headline slots at EDC Thailand, S2O Thailand, S2O Taiwan and NEON Malaysia Festival, as well as ZoukOut, Creamfields and Djakarta Warehouse Project. Alongside the solo work runs Wujackers, his project with the duo Bassjackers.

   «Roadtrip to Ciné» is the club's own series for international guests: Paul Oakenfold, Tchami, Dyro, Vicetone, Matisse & Sadko and Ben Nicky have all passed through it. New editions land roughly once a month, so the nineteenth is not just another weekend on the club calendar.

   Ciné Saigon stands on the site of the old rạp Thăng Long, a cinema with more than sixty years of history, and the club leans on that inheritance: a single high-ceilinged main room with the theatre architecture kept intact, lighting that wraps the floor and an international-grade sound rig. It entered the DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs 2026 vote at number 68, with a capacity DJ Mag puts at around 800.

   This is a night for people who come for a big room and a short distance to the booth: there is one main floor, so nobody watches from behind a barrier. The ticket currently on sale comes with two beers included. Cameras are not allowed inside.
