Club night «Arcan invites Kim Swim (DE)» at The Observatory

   September's Arcan night in Saigon is built around a single visiting guest. Kim Swim is a Berlin-based DJ and producer, born in Seoul and raised in Germany, and her sound runs across the full spectrum of house: driving, uplifting grooves, uptempo and hard house, UK garage influences and bass-driven club sounds.

   What to know before you go:
— her own credo is short: music is fluid, and in the end it is all about energy
— she puts the genre-hopping down to her multicultural background rather than to any single scene
— seven DJs and two areas: Orange Cyanide, Kim Swim and Ilona in the club room, fæy★, Phát Paris, Yasmin and Goss on the terrace

   This one is for you if you follow the city's house and techno scene and turn up for a specific name on the bill rather than for the room. The guest plays the club floor, the local DJs hold the terrace all night, and it takes seconds to move between them.

   The night is put together by Arcan, the Saigon crew behind the Arcan invites series, where every edition is built around one guest from abroad — before Kim Swim it hosted SUHSI from Malaysia and LMLØ from France.

   One practical thing: tickets are sold at the door only, with no online sale for this night.
