Exhibition & Summit «VRT&CON' 2026» (modern railway technology)

   Vietnam's railway programme is moving from drawings towards construction sites, and for three days you can walk right up to the equipment, signalling systems and operating software that will end up on those lines. This is the second edition of the country's international exhibition and summit on modern railway technology and infrastructure construction supply chains, held across the Red River in Dong Anh, north of central Hanoi.

   The organisers expect roughly 10,000 m² of floor space, more than 200 domestic and international organisations, corporations and companies, and close to 300 booths. Everything on show is grouped into five technology clusters that follow the value chain from track bed to smart station.

   The five clusters on the floor:

• — infrastructure construction: bridges, tunnels, track bed, rails and advanced materials, plus IoT, BIM and Digital Twin for design, construction and site monitoring;
• — operations management and optimisation: dispatching, timetable planning, asset management, AI and data analytics;
• — information, signalling and safety: control systems built to international standards, AI, Big Data and Digital Twin for monitoring and early warning;
• — rolling stock: high-speed trains, metro, electrified trains, traction, bogies, braking and maintenance technology;
• — stations and depots: AFC, PIS, AI cameras and smart operation centres integrated with the wider city.

   Running alongside the show floor is a series of international conferences and thematic workshops, together with B2B Matchmaking, VIP Tour, VIP Networking, VIP Lunch and a Press Tour. The detailed session-by-session agenda has not been published yet — the organisers say it is still being finalised.

   This is a trade event. It is aimed at infrastructure contractors and engineers, metro and national railway operators, suppliers of materials, equipment and software, infrastructure investors, and the regulators who shape the pipeline. What you take away is usually concrete: suppliers met face to face, B2B meetings booked, and a clearer sense of which capabilities already exist inside the country.

   Some context for why this edition matters more than a routine industry fair. The North–South high-speed line runs about 1,541 km at a design speed of 350 km/h, with investment of more than $67 billion under Resolution 172/2024/QH15 and a completion target of 2035. Hanoi alone has planned 18 urban rail lines totalling almost 1,000 km. That workload needs a supply chain Vietnam is still assembling, and this hall is where it becomes visible.

   The organiser is HTECH Technology and Events Joint Stock Company. Companies that exhibited at the first edition in 2025 are offered a 30% discount on booth fees when they return this year.

   Entry is by advance registration: you give your company, field of interest and the day you plan to come, receive a QR code by email, then scan it at the gate to collect a visitor badge. The three days have different centres of gravity — 8 October is the opening and B2B day, 9 October leans towards the exhibition and conference programme, 10 October is given over to industry networking — so choose the day that matches your purpose.

   The show occupies Hall 4 of the complex, which is worth noting because the exposition centre has several halls. Inside the exhibition area: no smoking, no photography in restricted zones, and your badge should be shown when staff ask for it.
