Dance night «Dandiya Night 2026»

About the event

   Clacking sticks, bright Indian dress and Garba circles that go on into the late evening: Dandiya Night 2026 brings Navratri to Hanoi. If you fancy a colourful Saturday night, this is your chance to join the dance with the city's Indian community.

   Navratri, literally “nine nights”, is an annual Hindu festival honouring the goddess Durga; its autumn edition falls in the month of Ashvin, roughly September–October. Dandiya Raas is a folk dance from the Indian state of Gujarat, popularly danced during Navratri: dancers form two facing lines, step forward to strike sticks with their partner and move on to the next.

   What the night holds:

  • — DJ Sameer from Mumbai spinning traditional and fusion Garba and Dandiya Raas hits;
  • — Garba and Dandiya Raas circles open to every guest;
  • — Indian food plus alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for sale, with free bottled water;
  • — suggested dress: Chaniya Choli or other Indian traditional wear.

   It is aimed at Hanoi's Indian and international community, groups of colleagues looking for a night out together and anyone curious about Indian culture. Children are welcome when accompanied and supervised by a parent or responsible adult.

   The event is sponsored by Capital World Group, co-hosted by Indian Cultural Diaspora – Bharat Sangam, and Dalcheeni is the food partner.

   The ticket covers entry only; food and drinks are paid for separately. Tickets are distributed exclusively through Ticketbox, and you need to show your e-ticket or a printout at the check-in desk. The party is held in the hotel's Elite Ballroom.

   Pick your brightest outfit and keep time with the dandiya sticks.
