Water show «Sắc màu Venice» (Charm of Venice)

   Every night the Lake of Love at Grand World Phu Quoc turns into a Venetian carnival: gondolas carrying characters in LED costumes, a waltz on the water and the love story of a painter and a young lady told with light and 3D mapping on a screen of mist. If you are in the north of the island, save the last half hour of your evening for it.

   «Sắc màu Venice», billed in English as Charm of Venice, starts every night at 21:30 and lasts about half an hour. Inspired by the Carnival of Venice and European culture, it was staged by general director Nguyen Viet Tu (Nguyễn Việt Tú), with music director Duong Khac Linh (Dương Khắc Linh) and choreographers Dinh Thi Minh Thu (Đinh Thị Minh Thư) and the Hoang Thong Dance Group (Vũ đoàn Hoàng Thông).

   Six scenes:
— «Đêm huyền diệu» («Magical Night»): a gondola procession with characters in LED costumes sets off from the welcome gate and follows the canal to the lake
— «Vũ điệu Venice» («Venice Dance»): couples sweep into a romantic waltz
— «Bức họa tình nhân» («The Lovers' Painting»): the two main characters dance on the lake
— «Dạ vũ ánh trăng» («Moonlight Ball»): in the bustle of the party, the painter loses sight of the young lady
— «Lời nguyện ước» («The Vow»): to the sound of a piano he finds her again and proposes
— «Vũ khúc ánh sáng» («Dance of Light»): a finale of lasers and upbeat music

   The story is told with LED lighting and 3D mapping on a curtain of mist, while a giant fan called «Bức họa tình nhân», hidden under the water, serves as a projection screen. The costumes recreate the street carnival of Venice; the Queen's outfit alone has seven parts (dress, underskirt, mask, staff, gloves, shoes and crown) and is hand-sewn from velvet imported from Italy.

   It suits couples, since the climax is a marriage proposal, and anyone spending the evening at Grand World: just walk up to the lake.

   The show is free: entry to Grand World Phu Quoc costs nothing, and only individual extras, such as a gondola ride on the canal, need a ticket.
