   As night falls over the heart of VinWonders Phu Quoc, a Fire Phoenix flares up on a screen of water and takes on a wicked witch amid music, flames and drifting mist. If you are spending a day at the park in the north of the island, stay until dark: these 20 minutes make a fitting finale.

   Once Show runs every evening at 18:45 on Fire Phoenix Square (Quảng trường Phượng Hoàng Lửa) in the park's European Avenue zone (Đại Lộ Châu Âu). It was produced by US-based Quantum Creative Studios, and according to VinWonders nearly $12 million went into it.

   According to VinWonders, those 20 minutes bring together:
— more than 39 flame nozzles shooting up to 61 meters high
— 150 fog machines and 10 projectors for 3D mapping
— smoke, fire, ice and a fountain show
— four fairy-tale characters: the Fire Phoenix, the Hero, Pearlie the monkey and the Wicked Witch

   The story is the classic battle of good and evil. You follow the Hero through imaginary lands to fight the Witch, win the phoenix quill and write a triumphant ending to a fairy tale handed down since ancient times.

   It is a show for the whole family: the fairy-tale plot is easy for children to follow, while grown-ups get to see fire, water and light combined on an open-air stage. It starts after dark, shortly before the park closes, so it neatly rounds off a day at VinWonders.

   Fire Phoenix Square sits by the castle at the center of the park, in the European Avenue zone with its classic European-style architecture.

   There is no separate ticket: Once Show is included in VinWonders Phu Quoc admission. The adult fare applies to visitors 1.4 m and taller; children between 1 m and 1.4 m and visitors aged 60 and over pay the reduced fare, and children under 1 m get in free.
