National Games «Đại hội Thể thao toàn quốc lần thứ X 2026»

   Once every four years the country's entire sporting system converges on a single city to take stock of itself, and this time the host is Ho Chi Minh City. It is the largest sporting gathering in Vietnam, the point at which each province's four-year development cycle is measured.

   According to the national sports authority, the games run from 14 November to 12 December 2026 across 24 sports. Part of the programme has already been contested elsewhere: table tennis finished on 16 August 2026 in Hải Phòng, combined with the 44th Nhân Dân newspaper national championship.

   What has been settled so far in the preparations:

• — Anti-doping rules issued under Decision 78/QĐ-BTCĐHTTTQ of 20 August 2026
• — Every athlete in all 24 sports must complete anti-doping education before competing
• — The city sports department has trained staff on the software system and information portal built for the games
• — Competition, accommodation and transport are grouped by zone, with additional venues in Bình Dương and Bà Rịa – Vũng Tàu

   For residents this is a rare chance to watch national team athletes in a sports hall near home; for visiting sports fans, a month-long programme means there is something worth seeing almost every week. Check the schedule sport by sport to pick your day.

   A national games happens only once in four years, and this late-autumn season the city will live to its rhythm.
