Parent talk «My Child Had a Febrile Seizure, What Should I Do?»

   A febrile seizure tends to arrive at the exact moment a parent is least able to think clearly, and the first thirty seconds matter. This one-hour session at a Phu My Hung clinic is built around that moment, with a paediatrician answering questions in the room.

   The talk is led by Dr. Quy of Family Medical Practice and stays on three practical questions:

   — how to support a child safely while a seizure is happening
— the what-not-to-do mistakes that make things worse
— the signs that mean the emergency room, right now

   It runs as part of the SIMBA community meetups, each one on a different paediatric topic, so you can bring your own case and ask about it directly rather than reading a leaflet afterwards.

   The audience is parents of small children, grandparents and nannies — usually the people who are actually in the room first. The organiser asks you to register in advance to hold a seat.
