Running race «VnExpress Marathon Hanoi Midnight 2026»

   Running through the capital once the city has dimmed and the roads belong to the runners. Hanoi Midnight is Vietnam's large-scale night race, and covering the streets of Hanoi in the dark, under the city's own lights, feels nothing like any daytime event on the calendar.

   Four distances, with age limits counted as of race day:

• — 42 km, from 18 years old
• — 21 km, from 16 years old
• — 10 km, from 12 years old
• — 5 km, from 4 years old

   The 2026 edition brings one notable change on the kit side: PUMA joins as strategic partner and official apparel sponsor. The race shirt is made from an ultra-light, breathable fabric tuned for long-distance movement, and with thousands of runners in the same colours the night will have a look of its own.

   Entry is in the Super Early Bird window until 24 September: 420,000 ₫ for 5 km, 480,000 ₫ for 10 km, 660,000 ₫ for 21 km and 780,000 ₫ for the marathon. Three further tiers follow, Early Bird, Regular and Late, and in the last one the marathon reaches 1,350,000 ₫, so booking early saves a real amount. Groups of 20 get 5 percent off, groups of 51 get 10 percent.

   Two things to know before you pay. First, no bib numbers are issued in advance: they are handed out at race pack collection on 27 and 28 November. Second, the liability waiver has to be signed immediately after registering, following the instructions in the email from iRace, and leaving it late can cost you the bib once your distance sells out. The gate for editing your details closes on 6 November.
