Rock night «Wild Rock N' Roll Night» — Vinh Xiêm and Đại Bàng Trắng

   Before Bức Tường and Ngũ Cung, Hanoi rock had Đại Bàng Trắng. This Sunday guitarist Vinh Xiêm and the band return to the stage at Polygon Musik in Complex 01 for a night of the raw, rough and wild Hanoi rock of the late 1980s and early 1990s.

   According to the organisers, Đại Bàng Trắng (The White Eagle) was the pioneer that laid the foundation of northern Vietnam's rock movement, and Vinh Xiêm, nicknamed an early «guitar monster», drove a whole generation of young Hanoians wild with his fiery playing.

   The official setlist is out: 20 songs across several shades of rock:

• — the eerie guitar of Joe Satriani and Jack Thammarat;
• — the classic grandeur of Rainbow;
• — dusty rock'n'roll from ZZ Top, Megadeth and The Rolling Stones, with songs such as «Sympathy for the Devil», «Sharp Dressed Man», «Rough Boy» and «Symphony of Destruction».

   It is a night for those who grew up with early Hanoi rock, and for younger fans who want to see first-hand the original energy of the generation that kept rock alive when it was a hard road.

   Every coupon includes one drink. The early-bird price applies when you register through the form by 24 October; after that, coupons are sold at the door.
