Jazz night «A Little Jazz, A Little Magic» at Blake's House of Jazz

   Singer Nguyet Ha brings her dreamy take on beloved vocal standards, moving from intimate and delicate to bright, energetic swing. And when Blake, host and vocalist of the club's resident Soft Paws Jazz Band, takes the mic beside her, as the club says, you never quite know what kind of duet you'll get. Expect vocal jazz and standards.

   It is a night for people who come to a jazz club to hear familiar melodies sung live, and for anyone who wants a table by the stage rather than a dance floor on a Saturday.

   Blake's House of Jazz was founded in 2022 by a group of friends who wanted a jazz club they would want to spend an evening in. Its website also jokes that you shouldn't ask whether it was inspired by Seb's from «La La Land».

   «A Little Jazz, A Little Magic» runs every Saturday; the bar is open 19:00–00:30. The programme is as listed on the club's website in early October: titles and line-ups change from time to time, and on special nights the programme and start time may differ. There is an entrance fee, payable at the end of your visit; the amount is not published on the website. The club says Saturdays often fill early.
