   When the lotus blooms across West Lake (Hồ Tây), LASEN opens an experience that exists only in lotus season: scenting, by your own hands, the tea long regarded as the essence of old Hanoi. The Bách Diệp Liên Hương workshop brings you close to the traditional craft of lotus-tea scenting, in the unhurried space of LASEN Teahouse beside Hồ Văn.

   During the workshop you will:

• Practise scenting tea with the artisan and hear stories about lotus-tea culture and how to tell true Bách Diệp West Lake lotus apart
• Taste Bách Diệp lotus tea alongside rustic northern Vietnamese treats
• Take photos with the lotus and LASEN's traditional setting

   Guiding the session is tea artisan Trần Phi Vũ, a tea storyteller with years of research into Vietnamese tea culture, who will teach the scenting technique and open a journey through the layered fragrance of Bách Diệp lotus.
