Halloween workshop «Hô biến bí ngô» (Magic Pumpkin)

   A free Saturday afternoon for kids to turn a pumpkin into their very own Halloween friend: VCCA at Royal City invites little ones to decorate pumpkins, dress up in their favourite Halloween costumes and let their imagination run.

   At the workshop each child decorates a pumpkin however they like, with their own colours and playful ideas. Along the way they practise working with their hands, build creative thinking and hear the story behind the tradition: hollowing out pumpkins, carving faces and lighting them from inside goes back to Irish folk legend.

   The session is led by artist Bùi Thị Mai Anh, who holds a Master of Fine Arts in visual arts from the Vietnam University of Fine Arts and has taught art for years at primary schools and art centres.

   The workshop is for children aged 5 to 10, and places are booked in advance through VCCA's registration form. It takes place in the centre's main event room.
