Film screening «Cún Thối ở Paris!» (Chien pourri, la vie à Paris!)

   A scruffy dog with his nose always to the wind, his best friend Chaplapla, and the whole of Paris ahead of them. This French animated feature, just 62 minutes long, invites you to see the French capital through the most guileless pair of eyes going, in a small screening room deep in an alley off Tây Sơn.

   The film is co-directed by Davy Durand, Vincent Patar and Stéphane Aubier and comes as part of the French film programme presented by the Institut français du Vietnam. The story follows Cún Thối through the streets of Paris: he keeps landing himself in trouble, and every time he finds a way to get up and carry on. Through a run of unexpected encounters, the city turns out to be both poetic and very funny.

   White Light Cinéhub sits on the third floor of COMPLEX 01, a cultural complex rebuilt from an old factory in alley 167 off Tây Sơn, in Đống Đa district, a short ride southwest of the Old Quarter. The room is small, and the atmosphere is closer to friends watching together than to a commercial cinema.
