Travelling exhibition «Trung tâm Thiên nhiên lưu động» (Mobile Nature Centre) in Hanoi

#interactive exhibition#wildlife#nature conservation#virtual reality#free entry#hanoi

About the event

Three buses converted into three exhibition rooms about Vietnam's forests park right in the city, and you climb aboard to put on a VR headset, tap through touchscreens and flip open panels about the animals that live there. No ticket and no long drive: the forest comes to central Hanoi.

The Mobile Nature Centre is an initiative of Save Vietnam's Wildlife, with singer Hà Anh Tuấn as its ambassador, run together with the Environmental Crime Prevention Police Department, the Department of Forestry and Forest Protection and the Department of Nature Conservation and Biodiversity. It is a core activity of the Silent Forest campaign (Chiến dịch Rừng lặng), which works to end the illegal use of wildlife in Vietnam. The exhibition opened on 29 May 2026 at Vân Long wetland nature reserve in Ninh Bình, and in its first three months nearly 5,000 visitors climbed aboard.

   Three buses, three forest stories:
— bus 01, «Rừng xanh diệu kỳ» (The Wondrous Green Forest): a VR and touchscreen journey through Vietnam's biodiversity and the fragility of its wildlife
— bus 02, «Rừng lặng» (Silent Forest): why the forests are going quiet, and what illegal hunting and consumption of wild animals do to nature and people
— bus 03, «Rừng là nhà» (The Forest Is Home): rescue and release work, and four things anyone can do to protect nature

The experience is designed for all ages: families with children, school and university students, and anyone who wants to understand what is happening to Vietnam's forests and wildlife through an immersive format rather than a lecture. You leave with four concrete actions you can start the next day.

The project is funded by the Pangolin Crisis Fund, VIETVISION and the BIOFIN fund (UNDP Viet Nam), with STORII as media partner. According to the organisers the Centre stays in Hanoi from September to December 2026. The first stop is the Hanoi Children's Palace (Cung Thiếu nhi Hà Nội) from 25 to 27 September; the next parking spots are announced on the Silent Forest campaign's page.

Bring the family and climb aboard: this may be the easiest forest you will ever reach.
