HYERICA (South Korea) — Choreography Intensive with FLAME Project
600,000 ₫ – 1,400,000 ₫
DanceTwo friends from Japan came to Vietnam to visit, and the community seized the chance to ask them to teach for one evening — so there is an African Dance session with djembe drumming happening in Ba Đình. Two hours, and no dance background required.
The session is led by Kaori and Kotaro, who have practised African Dance and djembe drumming for many years. It is an introductory taster, which means the point is not to memorise a routine but to catch the pulse: African dance lives with live drums, and the dancers and the drummer listen to each other rather than follow a recording.
Who is behind it
— The Dances of Universal Peace community in Vietnam (DUP Vietnam)
— The occasion exists only because Kaori and Kotaro happened to be visiting
— Held at Dance More studio, branch 3
It suits people curious about dance but put off by formal classes, anyone drawn to percussion and rhythm, and those who want a way of moving that has nothing to do with a gym. No experience needed — this is a taster, not a performance.
Advance registration through the organisers' form is required. The studio is in Ba Đình, a short ride west of the Old Quarter.
A chance to learn from long-time practitioners does not appear on schedule — it appears because they happened to pass through. Fancy trying?
