Culture and ArtsThe organisers have moved the programme to Cau Giay ward; the exact address has not been announced.
Under the plan published by the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports (Sở Văn hóa và Thể thao Hà Nội), six programmes run simultaneously that evening across the city: the Thăng Long Water Puppet Theatre in Ngọc Hồi commune, the Hanoi Circus and Variety Arts Theatre in Quang Minh, the Hanoi Chèo Theatre in Bình Minh, the Hanoi Cải lương Theatre in Hát Môn, and the Hanoi Drama Theatre in Ba Vì. Nhà hát Ca Múa Nhạc Thăng Long, the capital's song-and-dance theatre, performs under the updated plan in Cầu Giấy ward.
The department describes the content rather than the running order: works honouring the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Hồ Chí Minh and the country's revolutionary tradition, marking the historical meaning of the August Revolution of 1945 and National Day on 2 September, alongside pieces about the heritage of Thăng Long – Hanoi. No individual titles have been announced.
Context helps if you are new to the date: the August Revolution succeeded on 19 August 1945, and Hanoi is where the general uprising took the decisive turn. Hearing this repertoire in the city where it happened, on the day itself, is the point.
The music is song and dance, so language is no barrier, and the format suits families and mixed groups.
