Business EventsVietnam Startup Community Day 2026 — a decade of Vietnamese startups and the vision for the next ten years
After more than a decade of growth in Vietnam's startup ecosystem, Vietnam Startup Community Day 2026 returns to Hanoi as the year's biggest community gathering — a place where insiders look back at the journey and shape what comes next. On 21 August 2026, the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (Học viện Công nghệ Bưu chính Viễn thông, PTIT) in Ha Dong will welcome over 1,000 founders, investors, venture funds, tech companies and startup support organisations from across the country.
The event is held under the patronage of the National Startup Support Center (NSSC) and organised by PTIT's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (PTIT IEC), the VNU Innovation Startup Incubator (VISI) and the TAOStartup community. Unlike typical industry conferences, this is a stage for practitioners: founders sharing real operational stories, real failures and the lessons that came with them — exactly the kind of first-hand insight that is hard to find anywhere else.
The main day runs in three acts. The Technology Exhibition (08:00–17:00) brings together 20 booths of pioneering products for hands-on demos and direct business connections. The Startup Summit (13:00–17:35) works through four big themes: technology waves and capital trends of the past decade, operational war stories from founders, and the launchpad for the next ten years. The evening closes with Startup Night (18:00–21:30) — a gala dinner marking TAOStartup's 10-year journey and a focused networking space for founders, partners and investors.

Around the main day, a side-event series runs from 19 to 23 August: Aspire Startup Bootcamp — Hanoi Edition (an intensive programme on growth strategy and fundraising, organised by FundWise), a Startup & VC Networking Dinner, the Startup & Angel Connect pitching session linking startups with domestic and international angel networks (TAOStartup), and the Big Timer University Program — a business-strategy workshop built around an interactive board game.
The timing matters: Vietnam's ecosystem has passed 4,000 startups with two unicorns, and the surge of tech investment — especially in AI — has pushed the country into Southeast Asia's leading group for new tech ventures. For expats and international visitors, this is the single best day of the year to meet the people actually building Vietnam's digital economy.
