Exhibition «MTA HANOI 2026» (precision engineering and manufacturing)

About the event

Choosing a machining centre, a metrology system or a job shop for an order you are about to sign usually costs weeks of driving between industrial parks in northern Vietnam. This autumn Hanoi puts those options on one floor: machines running in front of you, application engineers standing next to them, and a comparison you make with your own eyes instead of from a catalogue.

The organisers built this edition around the theme «Rise to Precision». MTA Hanoi is the northern arm of the long-running MTA Vietnam series and positions itself as the leading precision engineering and manufacturing show in the north, a trade bridge between international suppliers and the fast-growing factory network in Bắc Ninh, Hải Phòng, Thái Nguyên and Hưng Yên.

Projected figures published by the organisers (updated to 14 July 2025) put this edition at 5,000 sqm of gross exhibition space, 200+ exhibiting companies, 14+ countries and regions, 3+ international group pavilions and 6,000+ industry visitors.

The exhibit list runs the length of a machine shop, from cutting tools to welding and finishing:

  • — Cutting tools and tooling systems: gear cutting, jigs and fixtures, blades, rollers, material handling and storage
  • — Measurement and testing technology: coordinate measuring machines, dimensional measuring devices, precision gauges, material testing, fatigue and strength testing, measurement software, calibration and inspection services
  • — Factory equipment and systems: abrasives, cleaning devices and clean air systems, engraving and marking, compressed air, hydraulic and pneumatic power transmission, pumps and valves, workholding devices
  • — Metal-cutting machines: boring, drilling and tapping, broaching and shaping, EDM and wire-cut, grinding, lathes, milling, machining centres, sawing
  • — Metal forming and sheet metal cutting: bending, laser cutting, punching and stamping, presses and shears, waterjet, injection moulding, coiling and wire forming
  • — Mould and die: die casting machines, moulds and dies
  • — Software and prototyping: CAD / CAM / CAE, rapid prototyping systems
  • — Surface and heat treatment: heat treatment, honing, lapping and finishing machines, adhesives and sealants, lubricants and chemicals
  • — Welding technology: welding equipment

The official key visual for 2026 names four specialist brands cooperating on the same floor: VINRA (factory automation, control technology, industrial robots and cobots, AGV/AMR fleets, MES), Metrology Hanoi, ToolTec & Hardware Hanoi and WeldTech Hanoi. They add components, precision mechanical parts and in-plant logistics to what is otherwise a machine-tool floor.

The Digital Exhibitor Directory is already open on the event site. The early list covers companies from nine countries and regions — Vietnam, China, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand — among them Hwacheon Machine Tool Viet Nam, AIDA Greater Asia, Vollmer Group, Nichiden Corporation, Kemet Far East, Epicor Software and a stand from JETRO Hanoi.

This is a trade show for people who make things: production and process engineers, purchasing and supply-chain managers, workshop owners and supporting-industry firms, product design teams, and engineering students who would rather watch a spindle turn than read a datasheet. In one visit you can see equipment running, ask an application engineer directly about tolerances and lead times, and leave with a shortlist of suppliers rather than a folder of quotations.

The organiser is Informa Markets together with SES Vietnam Exhibition Services Company Limited. Its Vietnamese portfolio also includes Electric & Power Vietnam, Food & Hotel Vietnam, Machine Technology Asia (MTA), ProPak Vietnam, Renewable Energy Vietnam, VietBeauty & Cosmobeaute, VietWater and VietStock, and the company reports more than 50,000 trade visits a year across that portfolio.

On the event site, Trinh Trung Kien, a manager at Samsung Electronic Vietnam Thainguyen, says of the 2024 edition that the stands were varied, and that for a company pushing production automation, access to automated equipment and precision machinery matters a great deal.

The venue is Hanoi's new exhibition centre out in Đông Anh, on the northern bank of the Red River — a long way past the Old Quarter, so budget the ride there and back into your day. Two other shows occupy the same halls on the same dates: SemiTronics Vietnam 2026 for electronics and semiconductors, and ProPak Hanoi 2026 for processing and packaging. Each runs its own registration through its own website.

Entry is by online visitor registration and the organisers publish no admission price. Sign up before you travel and bring the confirmation with you. The event site runs in Vietnamese and English and also carries the e-brochure, the technical seminar schedule as sessions are confirmed, and a group delegation programme for associations and companies arriving as a team.

If a decision about a machine, a tooling package or a machining partner is sitting on your desk this year, three days of looking at the hardware is a cheaper way to make it than a dozen separate meetings. Come with the list of problems you need solved.
