EL VIETNAM 2026 – Vietnam International Electric Power & Lighting Exhibition

   From 16 to 18 September 2026 Hanoi hosts EL VIETNAM 2026 – Vietnam International Electric Power & Lighting Exhibition. The venue is the Vietnam Exhibition Center (VEC), 3VQ8+24C, Đường Trường Sa, Xã Đông Anh, TP. Hà Nội (the organiser signposts the approach via Đường cầu Tứ Liên, Đông Anh). The organiser is HADIFA (Công ty Cổ phần Quảng cáo và Hội chợ Quốc tế Hà Nội), a company with more than 20 years of experience running industrial trade fairs in construction, transport infrastructure and mining. The exhibition is held with the support of Vietnam's Ministry of Industry and Trade. According to the official website, the project's partner network includes Electric Power University (EPU), the National Innovation Center (NIC) and the Vietnam Energy Association (VEA) as co-organisers, along with EVN, the Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute (Vinatom), the Institute of Science and Technology for Energy and Environment (ISTEE), the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH) and the Vietnam Electrical Engineering Association (VEEA); the Ministry of Science and Technology also lends its support.

   The show is tied to a concrete industrial agenda. Vietnam's installed generating capacity exceeds 80,000 MW, placing the country among the three largest power systems in ASEAN. The government has committed to a sustainable energy transition built on digital technology, power electronics, smart grids, renewable generation, storage and grid optimisation. Figures cited by the organiser put Vietnam's power infrastructure investment need at more than USD 140 billion by 2045, with renewables expected to exceed 50% of the mix. The Vietnamese LED lighting market, per IMARC Group forecasts, is set to reach USD 982.8 million by 2028, growing at roughly 7% a year. The exhibition line-up is assembled around exactly that demand.

   The EL VIETNAM 2026 show floor is organised into twelve product sections:

• Electrical system equipment & solutions: transformers, switchgear and panels, protective relays, SCADA, EMS, DMS, power devices (SiC, GaN, converters).
• Power electronics: HVDC/MVDC converters, inverters, UPS and backup power equipment for industrial systems.
• Energy storage & batteries: Li-ion and flow batteries, supercapacitors, BMS, fast-charging technology and charging stations.
• Renewable energy solutions: next-generation PV, wind turbines, mini-hydro, biogas, new materials for renewables.
• IoT, AI & smart grids: sensors, telemetry, Digital Twin, predictive maintenance, grid automation.
• Smart buildings: building management systems (BMS), smart lighting, security, industrial automation.
• New materials & technologies: next-generation battery materials, nano-energy, advanced insulation and heat-resistant materials.
• Safety & diagnostics: measuring instruments, infrared cameras, fault-detection sensors, electrical personal protective equipment.
• EV charging & infrastructure: DC fast-charging stations, wireless charging, charging management and billing software.
• EV test-drive & experience zone: electric vehicles on display, with a live charging and test-drive area.
• Bioenergy: energy from biomass and seed oils, new-generation organic energy solutions.
• Advanced materials & semiconductors: SiC, GaN, semiconductor wafers, IGBTs, MOSFETs and their use in EVs, inverters and power electronics.

   The organiser also sets aside focused areas by generation type — hydro, wind, solar, thermal, waste-to-energy and nuclear power — each showing the latest equipment and services for industry and trade visitors.

   The exhibition is aimed at the professionals who specify and buy:

• electrical and electronics engineers, design specialists and design offices;
• electrical installation companies, power grid companies and energy companies;
• general contractors, EPC contractors, construction contractors and design firms;
• factory and construction investors, real estate investors and property managers;
• grid-building and project development companies;

   A business programme runs across all three days:

• EEE-AM 2026 thematic conference on “The Future of Electrical Engineering – Trends and Innovations”, organised by IEEE, IEEE IAS and IEEE PES. Core topics: renewable energy and storage (PV, wind, hydrogen, CHP); smart grids (SCADA, DMS, VPP); artificial intelligence, Digital Twin and automation; advanced materials and smart environments (IoT, NZEB).
• Technical presentations: companies introduce new products and technologies on site, with follow-up coverage through press and television channels.
• Business Matching programme: arranged meetings between exhibitors, visitors and leading companies in each field — before, during and after the show.

   Exhibitors can book standard shell-scheme booths or raw space indoors and outdoors for custom stand construction (custom designs require organiser approval). Free services include a company listing in the exhibition directory, invitation tickets for clients, out-of-hours security, and information on freight and customs, hotels and travel.    The exhibition is open daily from 09:00 to 17:00. Entry is free for visitors who register in advance on the organiser's website; booth booking uses a separate form.
