Trail race «Măng Đen Ultra Trail 2027»

   Highland country wrapped in mist, where pine forest stands in long belts and one climb runs straight into the next. After two seasons, Măng Đen Ultra Trail comes back for its third with the line "where the mist turns into footsteps".

   Five distances, from an entry-level course to a full hundred kilometres:

• — 15 km
• — 25 km
• — 50 km
• — 70 km
• — 100 km

   Entry is in the Early Bird window until 18 September: 1,130,000 ₫ for 15 km, 1,430,000 ₫ for 25 km, 1,830,000 ₫ for 50 km, 2,230,000 ₫ for 70 km and 3,230,000 ₫ for 100 km. Two tiers follow, Regular and Late, and in the last one the longest distance costs 5,350,000 ₫, with registration closing on 18 December. In other words, signing up late here costs close to double.

   The organising body is the Măng Đen Tourism Association and the race is operated by PR Events, a crew that started in 2022 under the name RBG and now runs professional races alongside a coaching service. Their initials stand for Personal Record, which is also the philosophy they work by.

   One thing to weigh before booking: the three-day window on the race artwork is marked by the organisers themselves as a provisional date, and the exact distances and day-by-day schedule are still being updated. If you need flights or accommodation early, follow the official channels until the schedule is locked.

   One point of geography worth clearing up: Măng Đen sits on the plateau of the former Kon Tum province, and since the 2025 administrative reorganisation it belongs to Quảng Ngãi. Older maps and race reports still list it under the previous provincial name.

   The organisers state their own order of priorities as safety, quality and the athlete's experience, which is worth noting for a race that includes a hundred-kilometre course through pine forest and a succession of hard climbs. It is pitched as much as a gathering of the running community as a contest.

   For runners who prefer forest terrain and morning fog to city tarmac, this is one of the most tempting courses of the early season.
