Running race «Quảng Trực Half Marathon 2026 – Nối nhịp biên cương»

   This is a course very few Vietnamese races can offer: the western border belt of Lâm Đồng province, where the tarmac winds between old-growth forest, morning mist settles in the valleys and M'Nông culture is still part of ordinary daily life rather than a museum display.

   The race is built for a field of roughly 1,000 runners across four distances, the shortest of them reserved for children:

• — 1.5 km kids run, for children under 12
• — 5 km, no age requirement
• — 10 km, from 14 years old
• — 21.0975 km, from 14 years old

   The prize structure is the most revealing part, and it says a good deal about where you are running. Beyond the usual placings, the organisers added categories of their own: "Bước chân Người giữ rừng" and "Người giữ phên dậu" honour the border forces and the forestry workers who keep this green frontier, and there are separate awards for costume and for teams.

   The organiser is the People's Committee of Quảng Trực commune, and that matters. This is not a sponsor-branded commercial race but an event the locality built itself to tie sport to tourism and to the produce the area is known for. The line it chose for itself translates roughly as "every stride a thread of affection, every runner an envoy of the borderland".

   Entry is in the Early Bird window until 30 September: 269,000 ₫ for 1.5 km, 399,000 ₫ for 5 km, 499,000 ₫ for 10 km and 649,000 ₫ for the half. Groups of ten get 5 percent off, groups of a hundred get 20 percent. Transfers and distance changes cost 100,000 ₫ each and must be done before 4 November. Runners under 14 need a guardian to sign the liability waiver.

   If you want a race that looks nothing like a city course, the forests of Quảng Trực are the most distinctive option of this season.
