Phu Tho Circus and Multi-purpose Theatre

Social and CommunityMarket xẩm singing preserved through immersive interactive technology; human emotions turned into light and sound. A Sunday morning to hear the artists themselves explain how they did it — and why.
«Experimental Digital Arts» is a panel in Track 03 – Living Laboratories of the Vietnam Festival of Creativity & Design 2026, on Sunday 27 September, 10:00–13:00, at Nina Next Space, 180/1 Nguyen Tat Thanh. Artists and designers discuss how digital media can help us understand ourselves, our communities and the world around us: from preserving the centuries-old tradition of «Xẩm Chợ» singing through interactive technology to «Hỉ, Nộ, Ái, Ố», which transforms human emotions into light, sound and shared experience. The organisers stress that this is not a showcase of digital works but a conversation about how technology can keep heritage, reveal personal stories and connect past and present.
For digital artists, interaction designers, and anyone simply curious what happens when xẩm meets code. VFCD is organised by RMIT University Vietnam with many partners across the creative industries.
Free, register via the organiser's link. The panel is held in Vietnamese and English.
Three Sunday-morning hours to watch heritage pass through a screen without losing itself.
