Ban Mai Stage - Children's Musical: Lang So Lay

   What happens when two children are raised in completely opposite ways, then sent into the same dangerous adventure? In Ho Chi Minh City, a children's musical turns that question into a colorful stage show, where a mushroom forest, a spider's cave and live music invite young audiences and their parents to think about trust, independence and care.

   In brief:
— a musical play built on an original story about Mushroom Village and a class heading off on a graduation field trip;
— two groups of kids with opposite upbringings: one raised in freedom, the other under strict control;
— an adventure mixing humor, drama and a bright fantasy world where the heroes learn survival skills and teamwork;

   The production comes from Sân Khấu Ban Mai, a stage based at the city's Children's House that makes shows for family audiences, leaning on live music, vivid sets and stories with a clear message. In Lang So Lay, the children of mother So Lay are used to freedom and exploration, while those of mother So Tret live under constant control and freeze when they must decide for themselves. Trapped in the Devil Spider's cave, both teams have to face their fear, cooperate and find their own way to rescue one another.

   Tickets come in three tiers: VÉ BAN MAI at 350 000 VND, VÉ SƯƠNG SỚM at 260 000 VND and VÉ MÂY TRẮNG at 190 000 VND, differing by seating location in the hall.

   The show suits families with preschool and school-age children, as well as anyone fond of theater. Kids get a lively show full of songs and adventure, while parents get a natural way to talk with their child about encouraging independence without letting go of care.
