Culture and ArtsSchool yards, the bell, a summer that never ended — memories you thought were yours alone turn out to belong to a whole generation. This multimedia exhibition traces the point where personal memory meets shared memory, and asks whether memory really stays still.
«What Do We Remember: Endless Summer» is made by young creative practitioners from RMIT Vietnam in collaboration with CABE Studio, at 0123 Complex, 6 Dang Huu Pho. Open 25 September – 2 October, daily 10:00–12:00 and 13:30–20:00. Starting from the story of collective memory in general education, the show looks back at school, childhood and summer — where private experience gradually overlaps with the images a generation holds in common.
For anyone who left school not long ago, and for anyone who left it long ago.
Free admission.
Come and find your own summer inside someone else's.
