Exhibition «Cây Hà Nội – Những bức ảnh về một di sản sống» (Hanoi's Trees: Photographs of a Living Heritage)

About the event

The tree-lined streets you walk past every day without looking — the dracontomelon, the mahogany, the ancient trees in temple yards — hang on the walls of a freshly restored French villa so that, for once, you see them as heritage. Forty-seven photographs, free entry.

The exhibition opens the «Hanoi Green Heritage» Cultural Season, a series running from 19 September 2026 to 10 January 2027, organised by the People's Committee of Cua Nam Ward together with PRX-Vietnam, the Paris Region's international cooperation agency in Vietnam. The «cultural season» format was designed by heritage specialists from the Île-de-France Region to give the restored villa at 49 Tran Hung Dao a public life and to open a new way of looking at urban trees. On show are 47 art photographs, from familiar avenues to the city's oldest trees and its special green spaces.

For anyone who loves Hanoi on foot: photographers, architects, people who wonder why one street is cooler than the next. The villa itself is worth the trip — it sits within the 2026–2030 joint action programme between Hanoi and the Île-de-France Regional Council.

Open Tuesday to Sunday, 9–12 and 14–17, free of charge. Closed on Mondays.

Go on a cool morning, then step back onto the street and look at the very trees you have just seen framed.
