Live concert «Người Tình 9» (The Lover 9)

   Six major names of the Vietnamese stage in one evening, and the occasion is a date in the calendar: 20 October is Vietnamese Women's Day. The programme is built around that — as a conversation about «Her», where each song works as a declaration and the line-up is chosen for different shades of the same feeling.

   On stage are Lệ Quyên, Lê Hiếu, Uyên Linh, Lân Nhã, Văn Mai Hương and Phan Mạnh Quỳnh, ranging from deep lyricism to a younger, rawer delivery. The organisers promise not only familiar hits but new duets assembled for this night in particular.

   Musical director is the composer Hoài Sa: familiar ballads get new arrangements without rewriting the originals

   This suits anyone who comes to Vietnamese lyrical music for the voices rather than the spectacle: the format is a concert, the hall is large, and it is the kind of programme people attend as couples and families. If you know the local scene only in passing, the line-up offers a cross-section of several generations at once.

   «Người Tình in Concert» is an annual series staged by IB Group Việt Nam together with BBG. The same promoter has brought world names to Vietnam: Kenny G in November 2023, Bond in October 2024 and the Norwegian-Irish duo Secret Garden in October 2025 — those concerts ran under a separate charity project with the newspaper Nhân Dân, where all ticket revenue went to flood relief.

   The ninth edition of the series in the country's main concert hall is the kind of evening worth planning a trip to Hanoi around.
