Phim Lim Dim: Film Appreciation Class for Non-Professionals

   You've just watched a film that stayed with you for days, and you can't quite explain why it hit so hard. Reading cinema, it turns out, isn't reserved for people who make movies — you can learn to watch actively and trust what you feel on screen.

   Phim Lim Dim is a film-appreciation course run by the 55E collective (Lớp Mơ Phim), built to erase the line between the audience and the industry. Across the sessions you work through the building blocks of a film — form, content and meaning — with theory and hands-on practice alternating, so you begin to "read" a movie rather than simply watch it.
