Game «VBA 2026 Playoff: Saigon Heat vs Nha Trang Dolphins»

   The playoffs leave no room for a bad night: one game decides who moves on. In Ho Chi Minh City the hosts Saigon Heat take on Nha Trang Dolphins in the knockout stage of Vietnam's professional basketball league. Two hours of fast basketball in an arena where the front rows sit right on the sideline.

   Saigon Heat is the best-known club in Vietnamese basketball. According to the organiser's profile on the ticket page and the match poster:

• — the club was founded in 2011 and became the first Vietnamese professional team to represent the country in the ASEAN Basketball League;
• — it won the VBA title in two consecutive seasons, 2019 and 2020;
• — this year the team plays under a 15-years-of-pride badge and the motto «stay hungry – stay humble».

   The VBA 2026 season brings together six clubs: Hanoi Buffaloes, Danang Dragons, Nha Trang Dolphins, Saigon Heat, Ho Chi Minh City Wings and Cantho Catfish, under the league message «Inspiring The New Generation». In the regular season Saigon Heat played its home fixtures in pairs from May to August, with the two games against Nha Trang Dolphins falling in early July. This is the only playoff game currently on sale, and the organiser does not say which game of the series it is.

   If you follow sport but not the language, basketball is an easy way in: nothing here needs translating, and the noise of the hall does the rest. The league is also betting on a young crowd — in 2026 the VBA signed partnerships with the Vietnam Student Association and Grab to bring the game closer to students.

   The game is played at Nhà thi đấu MLC (MLC Arena), which regulars still call by its old name, CIS Arena. The seating plan shows four gates, the HEATZONE supporters' block behind the basket, courtside rows at the edge of the floor and a VIP lounge at one end.
