Concert «HCMC Youth Concert 2026 – Thanh âm Lên đàng»

   A full stage goes up straight on the central walking street of Ho Chi Minh City for the city's first youth concert, HCMC Youth Concert, and the first names announced are Ho Ngoc Ha (Hồ Ngọc Hà), Phuong My Chi (Phương Mỹ Chi) and Lam Bao Ngoc (Lâm Bảo Ngọc), with more to come. The concert itself is a single evening, 18 October, and it crowns two days of youth programme on the same street.

   The programme is directed and hosted by the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Youth Federation together with the city's Vietnam Students' Association, and the concert is produced with the companies UniMedia and T Production. It is all part of the peak run of activities marking seventy years of the Vietnam Youth Federation and welcoming the city federation's tenth congress, covering the 2026 to 2031 term.

   What makes up these two days:

• — a large open-air stage set on the central walking street itself; according to the organisers, the concert area can hold more than 10,000 people, and the two days are expected to draw about 50,000 visitors
• — artists from several generations performing alongside the city's youth groups
• — a programme thread running from «Thanh âm mở lối» to «Thanh âm tiếp bước»
• — throughout both days on the street: a drive to collect 7,000 signatures in support of the 2026 anti-drug action movement, the co-created mural «Bức tranh Thành phố Trẻ» shown live on an LED screen, and «Vườn ươm Sức trẻ», a space with stands from the city's youth clubs and teams
• — talk shows: «Thanh âm Sống đẹp» with beauty pageant winners and runners-up, and «Thanh âm Thế hệ Vươn mình» with national team players and athletes, among them Tien Linh (Tiến Linh) and Chau Tuyet Van (Châu Tuyết Vân)
• — a record attempt: a mass performance on Vietnamese folk instruments, planned to be the song «Lên Đàng», with 1,000 to 1,500 young people and students expected to take part
• — the evening of 18 October: from 17:00 the ceremony for the federation's seventieth anniversary, from 19:30 the concert itself

   One detail sets this congress apart from earlier ones: it is the first held after the federation organisations of Ho Chi Minh City, Bình Dương and Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu were merged. That means this stage represents a markedly wider territory than in previous years.

   The programme is aimed at pupils, students, federation members and young people aged eighteen to twenty-five across the city. If you are anywhere nearby, this is a music evening worth stopping for.

   A practical note on the location: the walking street is long, the stage occupies only one stretch of it, and on big programme nights the area gets very dense. Come early if you want to stand close, or park further out and walk in. The organisers have not yet announced the entry conditions for the concert area.
