About the event

   Case competitions usually happen in a closed room with slides and a stopwatch. This one has been carried out into a public park and cut into challenge stations: each station stands for a department of a company, and moving on means finishing that department's job with your team.

   The morning opens with clues that participants use to find their teammates and the cultural theme assigned to their team. Following coded messages, the teams take turns playing members of Research and Development, Marketing and Finance, looking at the same piece of cultural heritage from a different angle at every leg, until it turns into a business idea that could survive in modern life.

   According to the organisers' booklet the morning breaks into four parts: check-in and gathering; a first game in which each team finds its running theme; three challenge stations one after another; then a regrouping with a tea break, photographs and check-out.

   What the organisers promise every participant:

  • — a certificate of participation signed by the organising committee, for everyone;
  • — soft-copy IELTS and SAT preparation materials;
  • — event photographs usable in scholarship applications and portfolios;
  • — a tea break and souvenirs from Bloom&Blow;
  • — project vouchers for wool products and clothing.

   The organisers read the name in two halves: Wind stands for spreading and carrying Vietnamese cultural values further, while Woven stands for weaving, for connection and crossover. The Bloom&Blow project was set up in 2025 around the idea that Vietnamese cultural identity can itself be a source of business inspiration for young people, and its mascot is a dandelion.

   The project's first season was called Gió Mầm and held a series of analyses of businesses built on Vietnamese culture plus the three-round Root2Rise 2025 pitching contest; by the organisers' published figures that contest drew close to 50 young people from around the country, four speakers and judges, and more than ten submitted ideas. The second season is called Phong Hoa, and this is its main event.

   The event is for young people aged 15 to 20 anywhere in the country who are interested in business, sustainable entrepreneurship and Vietnamese culture. Registration is online, closes two days before the event, and has to be approved by the hosts, so leaving it to the last moment is a poor plan.

   The meeting point is at the park's Huyền Trân Công Chúa gate rather than the main entrance, so name the gate when you book a ride.
