About the event

   Once a year Vietnamese manufacturing puts everything on the table: CNC machines, welding robots, casting technology, production lines, control systems for smart factories. In Ho Chi Minh City it fills an entire exhibition hall in Phú Mỹ Hưng, south of the centre — worth the trip whether you are sourcing a machine, hunting for a distributor, or simply curious about what Vietnamese industry actually builds.

   The International Exhibition on Industrial Machinery, Equipment, Technologies and Products returns to the city for the 24th time. Organizers announce 1,050 booths and roughly 800 companies from Vietnam and abroad, with exhibitors from more than 15 countries and territories. Co-located shows VECA, METAL & WELD, ISME, HMEE and VINAMBC run alongside it, so a single visit covers several industrial sectors at once.

   The floor is split into six product zones:

  • — industrial machinery — production and processing lines, forklifts and warehouse equipment, packaging machines, air compressors, industrial valves and bearings;
  • — automation technology — machine tools, CNC control, industrial robots, drives and control systems, testing and measuring equipment, electronics manufacturing;
  • — metalworking, welding and cutting — laser welding, plasma, laser and CNC cutting machines, welding and cutting robots, welder protective gear;
  • — metallurgy, casting and steel products — steel and non-ferrous metals, precision casting, surface treatment, aluminium production;
  • — hardware, electromechanics and moulds — motors, generators, pumps, valves, servo systems, hand and pneumatic tools, cutting tools and mould technology;
  • — materials and materials technology — industrial chemicals, adhesives, thermal management and lightweight materials, magnetic materials.

   The professional programme is spread across the three days. Day one is Ho Chi Minh City Automation Day: a business forum under the theme "Smart Factory — Towards Green Manufacturing and Sustainable Development", the 30th anniversary of the city's Automation Association (HauA), and a signing ceremony between Vietnamese and international associations and companies. Day two belongs to welding — the Saigon welding technology event opens, an international-standard welding skills contest and a high-tech welding demonstration run in the outdoor area beside Hall A, a roundtable discusses welding in Industry 4.0 and 5.0, and a Vietnam–China industrial matching session takes place at the Hall B2 stage. Day three closes with a roundtable on robotics and artificial intelligence in production.

   The audience is engineers, technical directors, procurement managers and factory owners: people looking for a specific machine, for distributors and importers, or for tooling and machining partners. B2B matching sessions run all three days, connecting supply and demand and advising on trade, investment and technology cooperation. International delegations are also taken on factory and industrial-park tours in the city and neighbouring provinces. Each day the stage in the Hall B2 lobby hosts a prize draw for visitors, with home medical devices supplied by sponsor FaCare.

   The show is produced by VIETFAIR, the Vietnam Trade Fair, Exhibition and Advertising JSC, together with the city's Business Support and Development Centre. It is backed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the city Department of Industry and Trade, and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI). Co-organizers include HauA, the Ho Chi Minh City Mechanical and Electrical Enterprises Association (HAMEE), the city welding society (HAWELD), the Vietnam Welding Society (VWS), the Vietnam Association of Mechanical Industry (VAMI), the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA) and the Southern Steel Structure Association (SSA), with BOYUE EXPO, FAIR1688, BEXCO and EEPCINDIA on the international side.

   Professional delegations get part of their costs covered on a distance scale: under 150 km from the city — lunch; from 150 km — travel and lunch; from 350 km — travel, lunch and accommodation; from 500 km, company and association executives also get airfare. Delegation lists are accepted until 15 November.

   Visitors register in advance here. Delegation arrangements are handled by Mr Thành — 0976 683 693.

   If you want to see Vietnamese manufacturing in person rather than in a report, three days in Hall A give you the densest cross-section of the sector all year.
