Techno night «D Visions» at Unmute

   Seven hours of techno that end somewhere around sunrise: a Hanoi club hands its floor to four DJs, and the headliner flies in from Seoul for the night. If you would rather have long sets and records than a playlist of hits, this September Friday by the Red River is built for you.

   The night runs under the name «D Visions», and the biggest name on it is Mihak. He has been behind the decks since 2009, grew up in Seoul's house and techno scene, and builds his sets around carefully dug vinyl — a sequence with a hand behind it rather than a folder of tracks. He is currently a resident at Club Teller in Seoul and has been running Connection since 2025, a project backing record diggers.

   A quick look at who plays:

• — Mihak (Teller, Seoul) — vinyl-led house and techno, seventeen years behind the decks
• — Dysnomia Tinkers — a Briton based in Vietnam, improvising live, from ambient dub to acid
• — Dusan Nikolic — a Serbian DJ and one of the most frequent names on this club's bills
• — Tomes — the fourth artist of the night, and the one the promoter has said nothing about yet

   The format is a long ride rather than a hit parade: techno leaning on vinyl and live improvisation. A line-up like this is put together for people who come to listen instead of to be seen, though a newcomer will fit in fine if the idea of staying till morning does not put you off.

   Unmute takes the three top floors of a building on Phúc Tân, right by the water: a dark low-ceilinged room, a house sound system with heavy turquoise horns flanking the floor, and the booth set in the middle of the room rather than on a stage. Through 2026 the club has hosted dozens of nights like this one, from Helena Hauff to DJ Nobu, so a Korean guest is nothing unusual here.

   Entry is strictly 18+. Neither a price nor a detailed programme had been announced by the time of writing, so check the door conditions with the club before you head out.

   Come for the first record or drift in closer to the middle of the night — either way there is plenty of it left before sunrise.
