Club night «Unmute w/ 69db»

   A living legend of European rave culture lands in Hanoi. 69db — French artist, founding member of Spiral Tribe and one half of R-Zac — has been playing live improvised techno since 1991 and helped shape the free party movement of the 90s. This Friday he takes over Unmute from 10 pm to 6 am.

   A few numbers on the guest:
— co-founder of Network 23 Recordings, the label that defined the sound of the 90s free party movement
— in 2023 alone he released four EPs on Berlin's Sound Metaphors and a five-record box set on Rotterdam's PRSPCT — all sold out
— the «23 Records or Bust!» reissue series: the first nine records sold out in under a year
Dekmantel festival wrote in 2024: «Long before the rise of hard, hypnotic dance music as a dominant genre, there was 69db».

   What makes 69db special is that he never presses play: every set is improvised live on the spot and never repeated. This night is for anyone who wants to hear techno in its rawest form — from one of the people who invented it.
