Music night «A Global Connection?» at AY-VY Hanoi

A producer whose beats have run through two decades of pop is coming to Vietnam for the first time, and his first room here is not a stadium but a club on the sixth floor of a Hanoi opera house. The second name on the bill is still being held back: the poster shows a silhouette and a question mark instead of a face.

Scott Storch holds eight Grammy producer awards, more than fifty billion streams and sixteenth place on Billboard's list of the Greatest Producers of the 21st Century. He has worked with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent and Beyoncé, and his sound did much to define how hip-hop, R&B and pop have sounded since the early 2000s. The night is billed as his first appearance in Vietnam and part of the venue's opening programme.

Who else is on the bill:

The second headliner is not officially named — the organiser describes an all-rounder artist and leaves a question mark on the poster

AY-VY the Pan-Asian Social Club opens in August 2026 on the sixth floor of the Hồ Gươm Opera House and is run by Rice Money, which operates venues under the same name in Vienna, Ibiza, New York and Dubai. Founder Martin Ho came out of the Vienna restaurant and club scene, and the format is stated as cuisine, cocktails, music and social dining brought together in one space.

This is for anyone who follows the producer side of hip-hop and knows whose name sits behind familiar beats. For Hanoi, a figure at this level arriving in a club rather than a concert format is unusual.

⚠ The status of the evening is being clarified: one of the organiser's posters marks it as a private event, while the dated announcement was published openly. Check access conditions with the venue before making the trip.

Scott Storch's arrival is also a reason to look at the venue itself, which opens with this night as a statement of intent.
