Club night «Unmute w/ levolant (Mitsuki), Tanohi, CB, Vitro»

   A DJ from Tokyo's Mitsuki club comes to Hanoi: on Friday night Unmute brings in levolant, whose SoundCloud profile points straight to that Shibuya club, alongside three more DJs. If you keep an eye on underground club music in Asia, this one belongs in your calendar.

   levolant is a DJ from Japan, and the SoundCloud bio holds a single line, «Mitsuki Tokyo», with a link to the club's website. Mitsuki describes itself as an underground club near the top of Dōgenzaka in Shibuya: behind a heavy black door, a black staircase leads down below street level. Resident Advisor listings for recent months show levolant at Mitsuki and WOMB in Tokyo, teller in Seoul and Dual in Bangkok, plus an all-night vinyl set at a Hong Kong club; straight after Hanoi, on 12 October, it is back to Mitsuki.

   The night suits anyone who likes discovering guest DJs from Asian clubs and hearing them in a room built for sound. Unmute has two spaces: the Cuốn Club Room on the 4th floor and Tan Bar on the 5th, both designed by architect Jiro Endo. Cuốn runs a 4-way sound system, and its dance floor floats on acoustic springs that carry part of every dancer's weight.
