Club night «OIL Sound System Takeover» at Unmute

The OIL Soundsystem crew from Shenzhen takes over Unmute for one night: NK100 comes from China, techno duo Nebulae from Italy, and Komga and Emmytee play for the Vietnamese side.

At a glance: who is playing

   — NK100 (formerly N1K00): a Shenzhen-based DJ and resident member of OIL Soundsystem, whose selections live on Boiler Room, Keep Hush, HKCR, baihui and byyb
— Nebulae: Italian producer and DJ duo Bea in Space and Poisblue, playing peak time techno, acid and raw, hypnotic rhythms
— Komga: his alias means «chicken rice» in Vietnamese, and his sets take in techno, house, bass and classic trance
— Emmytee

NK100 picks music on instinct: organic, minimal, rhythmic, playful or with a punk attitude, as long as it falls into place at the right moment. OIL is no stranger to Unmute: in early September Sulk, a member of OIL Soundsystem and of the Pure G collective in Taipei, played here.

Unmute was founded in 2023 by a group of music-loving friends in a warehouse on Phúc Tân street. The Cuốn Club Room on the 4th floor was designed by Tokyo architect and designer Jiro Endo, with a 4-way sound system and a spring-loaded dance floor; upstairs is Tan Bar, a rooftop bar above the bustling Long Biên Market.

The night is for fans of techno with character, from playful sets to hard acid, who want to hear guests from Shenzhen and Italy on one bill.

Presale tickets are sold online until 20:00 on the day of the party.

Two international guests and two Vietnamese DJs make a good reason to head up to the 4th floor on Phúc Tân street.
