   One night a year Hanoi's Latin scene opens two rooms at once and nobody leaves until the music actually stops. If you have been curious about the city's partner-dance community but did not fancy walking into a beginners' class, an anniversary night is the easiest door in: crowded, informal, and everyone in a welcoming mood.

   The evening is clearly structured. The first ninety minutes are check-in and open social dancing, followed by an hour of showdance, then two hours split across two parallel rooms — Salsa/Bachata and Kizomba, before everything merges back into a single room for the last stretch. The organisers set the dress code as elegant.

   Latin Soul Hanoi is a Latin dance school built around social dancing culture in Vietnam, with roughly 4,500 followers; Bachata On Mondays is the weekly series the same team runs. Three years is long enough for several intakes of students to have passed through, and the birthday night is when those intakes come back into the same room.

   Booking early is cheaper — the discounted window closes on 20 August, after which only the door price applies. Registration is completed by bank transfer, with your Facebook name and a birthday-ticket note in the transfer reference.
