Concert «Musique de Salon 22 — Âm nhạc và Điện ảnh II» (Music and Cinema II)

   You may forget a character's name and how the story ends, yet the melody from the film keeps playing for years. «Âm nhạc và Điện ảnh II» (Music and Cinema II) is built on that property of memory: a large orchestra plays film music, and familiar scenes come back on their own, no screen required.

   In brief:

• — five voices — Trọng Bắc, Uyên Linh, Thùy Chi, Nguyên Hà and Phan Mạnh Quỳnh;
• — staged by composer and producer Đức Trí;
• — the Musique de Salon Orchestra — around 50 musicians on stage, according to the organisers;
• — the programme runs for 165 minutes.

   Musique de Salon is a numbered concert series by Gia Định Audio: this is edition 22, and the second devoted to cinema music. The series is made by people from the audio industry, and it shows — a live orchestra, meticulous sound, and lighting built for each number. The organisers say the hall gathers over a thousand listeners a night.

   The evening suits anyone who grew up with Vietnamese cinema and its songs — and anyone who simply enjoys orchestral takes on familiar tunes: recognition is the programme.

   Seats come in eight categories — from the SVIP zone with its own lounge, light snacks and wine 45 minutes before the show, to zones seated by chosen class; VIP guests get wine in their lounge.
