Bilingual storytelling «Ai Mua Hành Tôi?» (Who Will Buy My Scallions?)

   A Vietnamese folk tale told twice over — once in Vietnamese, once in English — is a lovely low-key way to spend an afternoon with kids in Hanoi, whether your family is local, expat or somewhere in between.

   The session is hosted by The Bookworm at Phố Sách, Hanoi's dedicated book street in the Hoàn Kiếm area. After the bilingual storytelling the programme continues with a children's craft workshop and a book signing; check-in opens at 14:00.

   It suits families with young children and anyone raising bilingual kids: the story unfolds in both languages, so nobody is left guessing.

   Bring the little ones, settle in among the bookshops and let an old street-seller's cry from the tale — "who will buy my scallions?" — turn into an afternoon of stories.
