About the event

A whole nation's memory folds into a single evening beneath the roof of a colossal theatre on the eastern edge of the capital. Here the stage breathes, rises and floods with water while performers soar into the light — a people's origin is told not from a textbook but through the body, music and image.

   The essentials at a glance:

  • — A sweeping stage epic: 4,000 years of Vietnamese history in 75 minutes.
  • — More than 100 performers on stage, 12 major stage effects and 8 "WOW" moments.
  • — The largest theatre in Northern Vietnam, roughly 26,500 m² with a 1,500-seat auditorium.
  • — Live spectacle: lifting platforms, aerial acrobatics, water, lasers and gas screens.
  • — Produced by Vingroup after more than ten thousand hours of rehearsal.

The show carries the audience through the defining eras of national myth and history. It opens with the legend of Lac Long Quan (Lạc Long Quân) and the fairy Au Co (Âu Cơ), the ancestral couple whose hundred sons gave rise to the Vietnamese people. The action then moves to the age of the Hung Kings (Hùng Vương) and the birth of the first state, on to the hard defensive battles that decided the fate of the land, and finally to the aspirations of the modern era. Myth and history are woven into a single current — each scene stands as its own tableau, yet together they form an unbroken story of a nation finding itself.

The production design is a star in its own right. The stage is fitted with lifting platforms that reshape the terrain of the action in full view; performers work in the air on wires, while water effects turn the floor into a river or a sea. Lasers, gas screens and projection build a layered space in which legend is made tangible. In all, the show deploys twelve major stage effects and eight carefully engineered climaxes, staged on what is the biggest stage in the north of the country.

Behind it all stands Vingroup, with the production running at Vinpearl Theatre. The premiere is very recent, and the project became an event at once: to bring the action to the required precision, the company logged over ten thousand hours of rehearsal. Audiences have answered in kind — bookings have already passed ten thousand, with regular performances drawing families, tourists and lovers of large-scale stagecraft.

Seats are on sale for the regular run. The hall is designed so that most positions enjoy a clear view, and the vast stage impresses from the front rows and the further seats alike. Demand is high, so it is worth choosing places well in advance.

Performances run in Thursday-to-Sunday blocks: 3–6, 10–13, 17–20 and 24–27 September 2026. From October only one date is on sale so far — 1 October; the remaining October performances have not been released yet.

The show is built for a broad audience: spectacle and fairy tale for children, emotion and national epic for adults, and a concentrated introduction to the country's culture for visitors. For expats and international guests it is a rare chance to grasp the whole arc of Vietnamese history in one evening — the names of the Hung Kings, the legend of the dragon and the fairy, the spirit of resistance on which national identity here rests. Language is secondary: meaning comes through music, movement and the visual flow.
