Congress «IMC 2026» (International Manufacturing Congress)

   Vietnam's factories are running hot, but the decisions about what they make next are taken in a conference room, not on the shop floor: where the capital goes, how supply chains are being rebuilt, which policies hold it together. For three days just outside Hanoi, senior industry leaders, investors and regulators sit down to work that through — and if you buy, build or fund anything manufactured in Vietnam, you get to hear the argument first-hand.

   The International Manufacturing Congress (IMC 2026) is the conference half of the Vietnam International Industrial Fair (VIIF), one of the country's longest-running industrial events: launched in 1991, it has been staged 31 times. The organisers run it under the theme “Convening the Global Manufacturing Industry in Vietnam” and put the scale at 75+ sessions, 300+ industry speakers and 500+ delegates.

   The programme is built around six themes:

   The Congress is aimed at decision-makers: manufacturing executives, investors, equipment and automation suppliers, supply chain and procurement specialists, and the officials who write industrial policy. The organisers promise four practical takeaways — reading how global manufacturing dynamics are shifting and what that means for production here; seeing where investment is being deployed and what infrastructure has to follow; understanding how regional production networks are being reconfigured; and assessing what automation, digitalisation and advanced manufacturing systems actually deliver. Plus the reason anyone books a delegate pass: the person in the next seat.

   The timing helps. According to the National Statistics Office (Cục Thống kê), Vietnam's index of industrial production rose 11.4% year on year over the first seven months of 2026 — the strongest reading in several years — with processing and manufacturing up 12%. That explains the agenda: growing in volume is no longer the hard part, moving up the value chain is.

   The Congress is organised by dmg events, an international exhibition and conference organiser working across energy, construction, transport, manufacturing and design and a member of UFI, AEO, SISO and AAXO, with the exhibition centre itself as co-organiser. Sessions run in the venue's Main Hall. The complex sits in Đông Anh, on the northern bank of the Red River well outside central Hanoi, so budget more travel time than a cross-town trip.

   Access is by delegate pass: you apply through the online registration form, and the organisers do not publish the terms of attendance on their public pages. Inside the Congress there is also the invitation-only VIP Manufacturers Club, a private networking space for chairpersons and founders, chief executives and managing directors, COOs, CTOs and CFOs, country and regional directors and senior policymakers; membership comes by invitation or approved application.
