Bike race «Da Nang Alleycat #1»

   Fifteen checkpoints across the city, two and a half hours and no set route: Da Nang gets its first ever alleycat bike race. You choose which checkpoints are worth it and the fastest way between them, and the rest is down to your legs, your bike and a bit of luck.

   Shortly before the start, every rider gets a manifest listing the checkpoints and challenges. Each checkpoint has its own challenge, testing riding, bike skills, speed, luck and probably your willingness to do stupid things in public. Nobody can do everything, so picking your checkpoints is part of the game.

   What to know:
— start and finish at Aqua Betty, with a party there after the race
— no motors, all bikes and all riders welcome
— prizes for a bunch of different things, not just the most points
— Da Nang Bike Hub will have bikes to rent if you don't have one

   You don't need to be a serious racer, just someone who rides and fancies a couple of hours racing around Da Nang. Bring a bike, helmet, phone, lights, some cash, a spare tube or basic repair kit, and water.

   Entry is free; donations for PAWS for Compassion and towards future events like this will be collected at the bar. More details are coming from the organisers.
