Beer festival «Lễ hội bia Đức – Đà Nẵng 2026» (German Beer Festival – Da Nang 2026)

   For three evenings in a row Trần Phú street gets German beer poured from a wooden keg, long Bavarian tables and live music until late. The ceremonial tapping of the first barrel opens the festival at 18:30 on the first day, and from there it runs to 23:00 every night.

   Lễ hội bia Đức – Đà Nẵng 2026 (German Beer Festival – Da Nang 2026) runs from 22 to 24 October 2026, 18:30 to 23:00 each evening, at 83-85-87 Trần Phú in Hải Châu ward. The opening is at 18:30 on 22 October, the closing at 23:00 on 24 October.

   On the programme:
— the ceremonial «Khui thùng bia khai mạc», the opening barrel tapping
— German beers and an Asian-European food spread
— the traditional costume show «Sắc màu Việt – Đức» (Colours of Vietnam and Germany) and Bavarian-style activities
— the «Đấu trường bia Đức» (German beer arena) contest
— a prize draw
— the concert night «Việt – Đức song hành, hội nhập và phát triển» (Vietnam and Germany side by side) with Vietnamese and international performers

   The festival is organised by the Da Nang Union of Friendship Organisations and the city's Vietnam–Germany Friendship Association together with Thuận Nhĩ Co. Ltd, as part of the city's 2026 people-to-people diplomacy plan.

   This year marks a double anniversary: 51 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany (23 September 1975) and 15 years of their Strategic Partnership (11 October 2011). Germany is Vietnam's largest trading partner within the EU; in Da Nang alone there are some 24 German FDI projects with around 233.3 million USD of registered capital.

   This is the fifth edition: the festival was held in 2019, 2023, 2024 and 2025, each time drawing large crowds of residents and international visitors.

   It suits anyone after a busy open-air evening midweek, people who studied or worked in Germany, and visitors who want to see Da Nang in festival mode. The organisers have not announced an entrance fee.
