Festival «Nhạc Jazz Việt Nam 2026» (Vietnam Jazz Festival)

   Jazz is heading out onto a city square and down to the steps leading to Da Lat Market as one of the opening events of the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival season. A UNESCO Creative City of Music is opening its festival season with music itself, and if you are weighing a trip to the highlands in early November, keep this one on your radar.

   The Vietnam Jazz Festival 2026 is one of the 11 main programmes of the 11th Da Lat Flower Festival (Festival Hoa Đà Lạt) 2026, set out in the plan that the Lâm Đồng Provincial People's Committee (UBND tỉnh Lâm Đồng) issued on 15 June 2026. This year's theme is “Đà Lạt - Bản giao hòa của sắc hoa và âm nhạc” (Da Lat, a harmony of flowers and music), and the plan aims to reinforce Da Lat's standing as a city of musical creativity recognised by UNESCO.

   It is aimed at jazz and live music fans, at Da Lat residents who want to meet the festival season in familiar streets, and at travellers planning an early November trip: one visit gives you the music and a city just stepping into its festival season.

   According to Báo Lâm Đồng, the provincial newspaper, the idea is to pair music with spaces that feel distinctly Da Lat, traditional and modern at once, so that art “seeps into everyday life”.

   The Da Lat Flower Festival has 10 editions behind it. The first ran from 10 to 18 December 2005 under the theme “Đà Lạt - Điểm hẹn muôn sắc hoa” (Da Lat, a meeting point of a thousand flower colours), building on the success of the 2004 Da Lat flower celebration (Lễ hội Sắc hoa Đà Lạt), and its opening was broadcast live on VTV from that very first edition. Since 2023 Da Lat has been a member of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the field of music, which is why a jazz festival sits so naturally in this year's programme.

   Three spaces have been named for the festival:

• — Lam Vien Square;
• — Haus Đà Lạt;
• — the area around the stairway leading down to Da Lat Market (chợ Đà Lạt).

   The plan published on 27 October sets out the three days: on 6 November the opening at Lâm Viên Square, free entry; on 7 November performances in front of the 3/4 cinema in the Hòa Bình area, free entry; on 8 November a night at HAUS Đà Lạt for invited guests only. The poster says the same — free entry on 6 and 7 November. Performance times and the artist line-up have still not been announced, and the dates remain provisional.

   This year jazz is among the first sounds of the Da Lat Flower Festival season, a fitting start for a city of music.
